And finally… Ryan Arcidiacono

Finally there is Boylen’s favorite son, Ryan Arcidiacono. The Chicago Bulls under Phil Jackson and Tom Thibodeau succeeded playing hard-nosed basketball. That reputation is what John Paxson wants to re-establish.

Not only is Arcidiacono one of the most efficient players in the league, he also brings the nightly hustle that Boylen wants to become contagious. That is why the Bulls signed him to a 3 year $9 million contract with the final year being a team option.

The ideal spot for Arcidiacono would be at backup point guard. However, with Dunn and White ahead of him, he may not see much action there. Fortunately he can also fill in as back up shooting guard. If Dunn gets traded mid-season or Valentine cannot return to full form, Ryan is the perfect insurance plan.

All three of these players will see the court at some point this season. Whether they are part of the core nine man rotation however will depend on the situation of Kris Dunn, injuries and load management. Fortunately, unlike last year, the Bulls have the luxury of switching out the pieces and maintaining their style of play.
