No. 3 The starting lineup

The Chicago Bulls will start the season with a starting lineup that won’t catch anyone by surprise. According to ESPN, the first team starting lineup will be as follows:

PG Tomas Satoransky

SG Zach LaVine

SF Otto Porter

PF Lauri Markkanen

C   Wendell Carter

This group brings a combination of experience and youth. It also offers flexibility. Satoransky can be moved to shooting guard or small forward. Lauri Markkanen can play center in a small ball lineup. In a pinch, LaVine can play a little point guard or maybe small forward.

While all 5 starters will see most of their minutes at their natural positions, the true flexibility of the roster will be on display when members of the second unit take the floor. That group will consist of players who either substitute directly for one of the starters or who enter the game and require Satoransky or Markkanen to shift spots.

There are two sets of reserves that will round out the rotation. Two of those players are a lock. The other two are up in the air.
