2. Derrick Rose MVP Trophy Presentation figurine upon his return to the United Center
This is where I started to get a bit more creative with the ideas for what the Chicago Bulls could do for a fun home giveaway night. The idea here involving a former superstar of the Bulls could really be a big hit with the fans and players both.
If the Bulls really wanted to tap into one of the better moments in the more recent history of the franchise, we don’t have to look much further than the early days of the former superstar point guard Derrick Rose. Tap into the year he won the NBA MVP (and was the league’s youngest player to ever do so), and you could find marketing gold.
D-Rose will be returning to the United Center against the Bulls this season as a member of the Detroit Pistons. He signed a new two-year contract worth around $15 million earlier this summer. The Pistons will be making the trip to the United Center to face the Bulls two times just in the month of November. The first will be very early in the regular season on Nov. 1.
When the Pistons and D-Rose return to the United Center in November, a tribute to the 2011 MVP season from the talented but injury prone point guard would be a great sight to behold. Get a tribute figurine to him and his MVP season at 22-years-old when he returns to the UC and the fans could really get behind a big promotion.
