2. Tomas Satoransky, Combo Guard

Contract: $10 million

The biggest steal of the summer for the Chicago Bulls came via a sign-and-trade with the Wizards to land the sizable guard Tomas Satoransky. You could even make a good argument that Satoransky was one of the two or three biggest steals among all guards in free agency during the offseason.

What Satoransky brought to the table was a bit more of a veteran presence that can play at point guard and also help to space the floor. The Bulls can now overwhelm their opposition with the pure size of their backcourt between the 6-foot-7 Satoransky and the 6-foot-6 LaVine. Even the Bulls first round 2019 NBA Draft pick, 6-foot-5 former North Carolina Tar Heels point Coby White, brings a lot of length to this backcourt.

If the Bulls get good floor spacing ability from the trio that is Satoransky, White, and LaVine, then this will be a completely rejuvenated offense in the backcourt this season. That size and spacing would be nearly impossible to defend consistently. All three of those players can be lethal in transition too.

All in all, landing a player with as much potential and versatility as Satoransky for just $10 million per year for three years is an absolute steal. There were discussions during the summer that he could get himself at least $15 million per year out of free agency, but the Bulls snagged him out of nowhere for double that total over the course of three seasons.
