The Chicago Bulls have a lot of favorable contracts, in terms of dollar amounts, for the younger players on the roster heading into the 2019-20 season.
A nice offseason for the Chicago Bulls helped to start building toward what could be an elevated spot in the Eastern Conference standings this season compared to last. What helped that for the Bulls was John Paxson and Gar Forman making savvy moves to add three quality free agents on good contracts.
Entering Training Camp, the Bulls are in good position to slot themselves amid the teams on the biggest upswing in the East. Granted coming off that 22-60 record last season, a positive offseason makes it difficult not to gain any ground in the conference standings. The Bulls could be in good position to make the playoffs for the first time since 2017 too.
There’s bona fide backing for excitement for what the Bulls bring to the table in an intriguing Central Division. They should easily be able to win more than 30 games, which will slot them among the three or four teams in the East vying for the seven and eight seeds. Given how tightly packed the middle of the standings in the East could be this season, the Bulls could make real headway under head coach Jim Boylen.
