I already talked about the 2020 NBA Draft hype that the second of the three Ball brothers is getting before the NBL season even begins. The 6-foot-7 point guard LaMelo Ball has incredible size and the potential to develop into a dynamic threat on offense and in transition. The Chicago Bulls should also play close attention to him once the games matter more in Australia.

During NBL Blitz, LaMelo was already getting hype as a potential top five selection in the 2020 NBA Draft. A recent ESPN 2020 NBA Mock Draft had the New York Knicks grabbing LaMelo at three. Since the Knicks are likely to still need a point guard that could be the face of the franchise heading into the 2020 offseason, selecting a Ball brother that showed out this year is certainly possible.

But we need to slow down the draft hype for LaMelo since he hasn’t proven much in significant game action. Wait until he starts playing quality competition in the NBL when the games matter more. The NBL Blitz also doesn’t have much defense played comparatively to the regular season.

Could the better shooter of the two possible Ball brothers at point guard to go into the NBA be a realistic draft target for the Chicago Bulls?

If the former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Coby White doesn’t pan out in any where for the Bulls this coming season, then it could be worth trying a backcourt that would encompass both of them heading into the future.
