With the beginning of the Chicago Bulls Training Camp and preseason showing up here soon, what can we digest well from the 2019 offseason?

A big offseason for the Chicago Bulls put them in good position to potentially elevate their win totals by a double digit number this coming season. The bar wasn’t set all that high by the Bulls with a 22-60 record last season. This season presents the opportunity for the Bulls to take a giant leap in the Eastern Conference standings and gain more respect with another year under the belt for this young core.

Free agency, the NBA Draft, and the roster building for the Vegas Summer League all brought positive thoughts away which is a pretty new thing for John Paxson and Gar Forman heading up this front office. The Bulls landed three solid players on value contracts in free agency, added two solid draft picks, and a number of underrated project players that can start in the G-League.

Moreover, the start of the preseason is well under one month away. The Bulls start the 2019 NBA preseason by facing the defending Central Division champion Milwaukee Bucks and their reigning MVP forward Giannis Antetokounmpo on Oct. 7. The Bulls also get to face the reigning No. 1 NBA Draft pick this year in the preseason, with Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans.

With how close basketball activities are to picking back up for the Bulls, we can take time to digest all that happened during what seemed like a very lengthy offseason. The summer months were mostly good to the Bulls, though.

Here’s a look into the five biggest takeaways for the Chicago Bulls from the 2019 offseason, as we head into media days and Training Camp in about one week.
