What are the biggest looming storylines worth following for the Chicago Bulls and their fans heading into Training Camp later this month?

The interesting offseason for the Chicago Bulls is about to reach its conclusion with the beginning of Training Camp and the team’s media days coming around within the next 10 days. The end of the month of September marks the return of major basketball operations for the Bulls. Tipping off the NBA preseason is less than a month away too.

Coming off a 22-win season, the Bulls have a huge list of items to improve upon. The Bulls set a franchise-low for the amount of games won at the United Center last season, with just nine, so the fan base is certainly starving for an elevated level of success.

John Paxson and Gar Forman did well during the summer to piece together a better roster for recently extended head coach Jim Boylen. Potentially the most frustrating move GarPax made through the entirety of the offseason was extending Boylen for three years. Boylen officially got his interim tag removed when most thought the Bulls would conduct a legitimate coaching search.

To be fair, Boylen didn’t really have anything more than a top-end G-League level roster to work with. The only part of the 2018-19 regular season where the Bulls caught any glimpse of success with Boylen taking the reigns was during the month of February. That’s also one of the few times when the Bulls were mostly healthy down the stretch.

Here’s a look into the five biggest looming storylines for the Chicago Bulls with media days and the start of Training Camp just around the corner.
