This deal is a big more complex than the previous two, but involves one of the same pieces. Since Dunn should be the first of the Chicago Bulls to be on the move in any general trade package, he fits well into this deal. Dunn also gets to land in a spot that’s in a much better position to contend for a title than the Bulls.
The Denver Nuggets get involved here to try and upgrade their backcourt and wing spot. Since the Nuggets play good two-way basketball on both ends of the floor but could use an athleticism and vertical boost off the bench, the currently-injured 2018 first round pick and small forward Chandler Hutchison could fit seamlessly in Denver.
What the Bulls get in return from the Nuggets are two pieces that could help upgrade both the shooting guard and wing spots for Boylen. The Bulls might even have potential seventh or eighth men in the rotation between landing the volume scoring shooting guard Malik Beasley and the two-way wing Torrey Craig.
Beasley brings a solid scoring presence to the table and Craig helps out the wing depth beyond former Washington Wizards small forward Otto Porter Jr. The Bulls also get two players that are less injury prone of late than Hutchison and Valentine. If the Bulls keep Valentine around in this scenario, they would need to bolster the wing depth.
