Chicago Bulls: 4 factors that will determine if Kris Dunn stays a Bull
By Abe Rotbart
4. His three-point shooting
Dunn is such a good defender that if he improves his outside shooting, his stock will immediately skyrocket. His lifetime 32.3 percent shooting from beyond the arch and 44.1 percent two point shooting are not in high demand.
What makes him special though, besides his defense, is his ability to get to the free throw line. For some reason, his free throw attempts per game went down last year from 2.2 to 1.5.
Some wonder if the face first fall, and subsequent injury he suffered in January 2018, may have affected him more than we realize. He just has not seemed the same since.
But if Dunn can get to the line as often as he did a couple of seasons back, his outside shooting would be less relevant. He runs a great pick and roll with a perfect tear drop shot within 10 feet.
However, the 2017-18 version of Kris Dunn, with a solid outside shot to keep the defense honest, would probably put him ahead of Satoransky on the depth chart.
