The real meat of this list begins here, as the Chicago Bulls could still find legitimate options to fill the void on the wing in free agency. Two options that stick out starts with a great two-way option that last played for the Utah Jazz last season, small forward Thabo Sefolosha.
For the bulk of last season, Sefolosha played in a smaller role with the Jazz, nabbing just two starts. But he has played in more than 800 career regular season games and has 475 career stars. He averaged a pretty impressive 14.9 points per game, 9.7 rebounds, and 3.4 steals per 100 possessions last season. The efficiency is definitely still there in spots.
Sefolosha brings with him a storied NBA career for a role player that featured an All-NBA Defensive Team selection back in 2010. His steady veteran presence would have a positive impact on this locker room, and he could reliably play in 20-25 minutes a night on the wing for Boylen and the Bulls.
The free-throw shooting for Sefolosha fell off a bit in the 50 games he played last season, but he also shot better than 42 percent from three-point range. The 6-foot-7 defensive standout wing had a 2.6 defensive box plus/minus last season and a career 14.5 value over replacement player rating. If he would be willing to sign a veteran’s minimum deal for a year or two, GarPax should legitimately consider him.
