No. 1 Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo will be the biggest free agent to hit the market since Lebron made his infamous “Decision“. One cannot help but feel sorry for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Until a couple of years ago, when the Bucks played the Bulls at the BMO Harris Bradley Center it felt like a home game for Chicago. The good news is the Bucks finally have developed a young superstar and their fans are filling the house. The bad news is the Bulls will want to steal their prize possession.

Every team with cap space will make a play on the player they call the Greek Freak. It is hard to imagine him getting any better but there is great room for improvement in his shooting. He shot a measly 25.6 percent from beyond the three.

He will be 26 years old by the time he hits free agency.  A monster defender and capable of getting to the rim at will, he most likely will have developed a steady outside game by then. That will help preserve his incredibly gifted physique..

The Bucks need to keep Giannis and will offer whatever it takes. The one thing they cannot offer is the big city and huge marketing opportunities. Giannis would be the biggest name to wear a Chicago Bulls jersey since Michael Jordan. It is hard to imagine his agent will not be pushing for him to leave Milwaukee.

Next. Takeaways from Bulls individual player workouts so far. dark

As a bonus, once a team has Giannis, they instantly become the team other teams in the East will have to beat. The Bulls have had enough of being unable to get past LeBron during the Thibs years. The last thing they want is a young core developing and not being able to get past the Milwaukee Bucks. As long as Giannis is on the Bucks, the train in the Eastern Conference will go through Milwaukee.
