No. 6 Buddy Hield:

All eyes of Chicago Bulls fans and management will be on Zach Lavine this year. We know he can score but there has to be improvement in his efficiency and his defense.

Without clear improvement, the Bulls may decide to move on from the last two years of Lavine’s deal. Even with the favorable terms of his contract, they may decide to lock up a different proven sharp shooting point guard.

While neither player is a top-notch defender, Hield is at least durable. LaVine missed 19 games after coming back from a serious knee injury. Hield played in over 80 games in each of the last two seasons, improving his game each year.

Last year he averaged 20.9. He also only had 1.8 turnovers per game which is a big weakness in LaVines game. Hield also shot 42.7 percent from three. LaVine shot only 37.4 percent.

Though he is older than LaVine, if Zach has a down year and Hield continues to develop, the Bulls may pursue the Sacramento Kings shooting guard. Per Clutch Points Vlade Divac is working to extend Hield but if it doesn’t happen, the Bulls may have him on their radar.
