1. Chris Paul’s impact on Coby White
The biggest workout news during the summer months for the former North Carolina Tar Heels standout point guard and the Chicago Bulls lottery pick Coby White was the work he did with Oklahoma City Thunder veteran Chris Paul.
CP3 had a tumultuous offseason himself with all the drama surrounding his superstar teammate with the Houston Rockets. He ran into the same problematic locker room trouble that he did during his time with the Los Angeles Clippers. What is his outlook with the Thunder this season?
But CP3 is a North Carolina native as is White. Paul attended Wake Forest University so both point guards played their college hoops in the ACC. There seems to be a lot in common and a lot that White could learn from CP3. The floor vision and two-way ability of Paul should be a great benefactor and learning opportunity for White.
At one point, CP3 said that the “sky’s the limit” for White in his NBA journey. That’s high praise for a point guard that hasn’t seen White play in games in the NBA officially yet. But this has to have a positive impact for both the development and confidence of White heading into his rookie season.
