2. Lauri Markkanen making necessary body changes

The discussion surrounding third-year Chicago Bulls power forward Lauri Markkanen is already swirling more so than any other player on this roster. Markkanen is entering year three in the NBA with sky-high expectations and a skill set that could take this entire team to another level in the East.

However, be cautious with Lauri since he’s yet to make it through a full NBA season without some type of significant injury. Last season, it was an injury in Training Camp that sidelined him until Boylen was the interim head coach in December.

Markkanen spent most of his summer in Finland, and he worked out a lot over there. He didn’t have as many social media posts as LaVine did on Instagram and Twitter during the summer, but there were a few. The early videos and images of him at the Bulls practice facility shows that he looks leaner and possibly stronger.

Staying healthy while improving his consistency and efficiency is the main goal at hand for Markkanen this season. He appears ready to take that next big leap toward stardom and to officially become that face of the franchise piece the Bulls so desperately need to build around.
