Star Power

There’s a lot more star power in the World Cup outside of what current and former Chicago Bulls players bring to the table. There are true superstars playing in the World Cup, even if the star power comes few and far between for the United States. Europe has a lot of the best players in the NBA today spread across the various countries.

The best player in this edition of the World Cup is also the reigning NBA MVP and Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis will be playing with his brothers on the Greek team, trying to make headway as one of the upstart squads in this competition.

Another player that is worth following for any NBA fan in the World Cup is Denver Nuggets big man and 2019-20 MVP contender Nikola Jokic. The Serbian National Team is the best its looked in a long time and Jokic is a big reason why.

For the United States, the two most notable players are the recently signed Boston Celtics point guard Kemba Walker and Utah Jazz rising star guard Donovan Mitchell. The Celtics seemingly make up half of the Team USA roster for this World Cup.
