3. Zach LaVine takes another step forward after impressive workouts

The offseason workouts for the Chicago Bulls rising star shooting guard Zach LaVine looked more impressive than ever this summer. Last summer, LaVine didn’t do much in the Advocate Center in the way of offseason workouts. While that might bug the front office (namely John Paxson), it shouldn’t matter at all if LaVine is improving his game rapidly.

This is going to be an important season for LaVine as he had his first major breakthrough in the NBA during the 2018-19 campaign. LaVine was one of the better offensive shooting guards in the NBA. If the Bulls were a better team heading into the All-Star break last season LaVine might’ve been selected to play for the East.

All throughout the offseason so far, LaVine posted a good string of workout videos that show him trying to improve his game. Some of the workout videos from LaVine come on-the-court and some off-the-court. When LaVine was taking a similar process, mostly in Seattle, last summer to workout in the offseason, it definitely seemed to help.

At least the social media chatter surrounding LaVine right now is different from a fellow offensive star at shooting guard like Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns. Booker was criticized after his handling of a pickup game with former Chicago Bulls All-Star center Joakim Noah earlier this month when he was complaining about getting double-teamed in a scrimmage.
