4. Coby White improves his body, heads into rookie season with momentum

The Chicago Bulls have a lot of depth and options at the point guard position right now. Thanks to the front office keeping fourth-year point guard Kris Dunn around heading into the 2019-20 regular season, at least as of Aug. 25, the Bulls have a lot of options as to even who starts at the position on opening night.

However, former North Carolina Tar Heels breakthrough point guard Coby White is an interesting solution for the Bulls to give a shot to later in the regular season. A steady uptick in the role and minutes that Boylen and the Bulls entrust with White is a good move given how other rookie point guards excelled in recent seasons.

Looking at the body of work last season from Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks and Collin Sexton with the Cleveland Cavaliers is a good example of how the Bulls should guide White through his development. Young and Sexton weren’t really able to breakthrough until the second half of this past regular season.

All in all, White will have a pivotal role in the Bulls success in the immediate future. He might not be the face of the franchise anytime soon as a seventh overall pick, but improving his body and skill set as much as he can through the preseason and Training Camp is important. White had some rough outings in the Vegas Summer League circuit. Could we see a different version of him in the preseason?
