No. 6 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player:

There are those who expect Zach LaVine to become an all-star this year. Others argue it could be Lauri Markkanen or even Otto Porter Jr.

Winning a Most Valuable Player award though traditionally goes to a top 3 scorer. At this point, the Bulls have no one even in the discussion, but if forced to reach for the stars, the choice is LaVine.

If LaVine has a transformative year and puts up a stat line of 27 points, 6 assists and 8 rebounds, anything is possible. He would need the Bulls to reach the playoffs and a couple of teammates to have all-star caliber years. A handful of other players around the league would also have to suffer the worst years of their career or a significant injury.

LaVine wants to be a great. Unfortunately, for now, his goal should be limited to an achievable all-star bid.

There is absolutely no shot any Bulls player wins this award.
