Chicago Bulls: Individual challenges for each player
Antonio Blakeney: Do more than score
When the Bulls signed undrafted guard Antonio Blakeney to a two-way deal a few years back, the hype around the G-Leaguer was massive thanks to his ability to put the ball in the bucket at a high volume. However, after earning a two-year NBA deal the next season, Blakeney failed to show any other dimension of his game besides purely scoring the basketball.
With good size and phenomenal athleticism, there is no reason why Blakeney cannot be a decent defender. In addition, if Blakeney could go from being a ball stopper to more of a ball mover, he could find much more success and playing time.
Cristiano Felicio: Go back to ‘above the rim’ basketball
The Cristiano Felicio situation is a mess. He is one of the highest paid players on the roster, despite the fact that he probably shouldn’t even be in the NBA. However, a major reason why GarPax wanted to sign the big to a multi-year deal a few years ago was because of his ability to play above the rim.
Felicio rarely went up for alley-oops this past season, and although he isn’t likely to become a regular rotation player, it could help him play better in the minutes that he does get.
