2. Lauri Markkanen

One thing NBA fans love more than almost anything is watching a potential All-Star before he actually turns into an All-Star. Remember how much fun it was to watch De’Aaron Fox last season? (To be clear, Fox wasn’t an All-Star, but it looks like he’s on his way there). That “super fun youngster” in the 2019-20 season could be Lauri Markkanen.

Markkanen is coming off the heels of an up-and-down sophomore season. At times, he struggled with his health and production, but he frequently reminded us how skilled he is.

In the 2018-19 season, Markkanen averaged nearly 19 points and over six 3-point attempts per game. Have I mentioned that he’s 7’0″ tall yet? Huge guys that score the ball and shoot a gazillion threes are interesting, to say the least.

He also dunks on anyone in his way (someone tell Nikola Vucevic we’re still talking about this), which doesn’t hurt his case for being the premier Bull to watch on League Pass. But Markkanen will have to settle for no. 2 on my list. If he makes a huge leap this season, he could be looking at the no. 1 spot, but for now, the first spot on my list is reserved for one of the most exciting players in the NBA.
