Final remarks
As GarPax’s grades show, we the fans need to acknowledge that front office staff can actually build a young team with a high ceiling and potential to get to the Eastern Conference Finals in the near future.
GarPax has been solid since sending Butler packing. Not to mention, they have been patient in the rebuild while drafting an excellent core of young players. Seeing the Bulls finally have a great offseason by obtaining through free agency three veterans that can help the team win games is exciting.
Still, GarPax needs to continue to be smart looking ahead at the 2021 free agency period.
While I love the idea of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo coming to Chicago, it probably will never happen, nor will Kawhi Leonard or Paul George choose to leave sunny California to join the Bulls. My thoughts are that GarPax should be going for Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo, if he is actually healthy.
In doing so, the Bulls can utilize forward Thaddeus Young and his existing relationship with Oladipo to help lure him to Chicago. In case you missed the details, Young has a partially guaranteed third year attached to his current contract.
Acquiring Oladipo provides the Bulls the additional star-power it needs to reach the next level, especially because he is still very young and makes for a great fit for the Bulls and its main core.
My hope is that things are going to continue to look up for the Bulls moving forward.
