Trade proposal

If I was in the Front Office, I would make a choice between the two of who to trade this season. By doing so, it gives the other more opportunity to develop into a key rotational piece for the Bulls.

Me personally, I’d definitely look to trade Valentine over Hutchison, especially with Valentine being on the last year of his contract. I don’t think that the Bulls would look to re-sign him anyways, so getting adequate value for him now is the best option. Also, Valentine is the more polished player right now, so he would be more appealing to a team that needs his immediate impact. It gives more minutes to Hutchison to develop his game more and hopefully he can make that expected jump later this season.

So which teams in the league would be in need of players like Dunn and Valentine?

I think the Heat and Rockets make the most sense as both don’t necessarily have a back up point guard and need more scoring wings. But I also see teams like the Raptors, Pistons, Bucks or the Mavericks inquiring about the two for depth purposes.

Prediction: The Bulls will trade Kris Dunn and Denzel Valentine in a three team deal with the Heat and Dallas

This is a trade proposal that I thought would make sense. The Bulls get 2 veterans that are both on the last year of their deals. They can immediately impact the team both on and off the court and frees up salary cap space. The Mavericks get Luka Doncic’s mentor and a starting point guard who’s on the last year of his deal. Finally the Heat get a starting caliber point guard and a rotational wing.
