24. Memphis Grizzlies

The Memphis Grizzlies have quietly put together one of the best offseasons in the league. In the 2019 NBA Draft, they selected transcendent point guard Ja Morant with the No. 2 pick, and they landed Brandon Clarke with the 21st overall pick. Many thought Clarke was a lottery-level talent, so to see him sitting around at pick No. 21 was shocking. This was an absolute steal for Memphis.

The Grizzlies also acquired some quality youngsters this summer in Grayson Allen, Josh Jackson and Tyus Jones. Combine all of their new additions with last year’s No. 4 overall pick, Jaren Jackson Jr. (one of the best young players in the league), and they now have one of the most promising groups of young dudes in the NBA.

If these rankings were based on potential, the Grizzlies would be a lot higher. But these power rankings are based on how the team looks right now, and right now, the Grizzlies probably aren’t in a position to win all that many games.

They’ve made some brilliant moves as of late, but it’s going to take some time before we see those moves translate to wins.
