25. Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards are in an extremely weird and undesirable situation. On one hand, they have one of the best young stars in the league in Bradley Beal. On the other hand, though, they also have arguably the worst and most untradable contract in the NBA in John Wall. If Wall opts into the final year of his deal, they could be stuck paying him nearly $47 million in the 2022-2023 season.

Can you imagine paying John Wall that much money in three years? It’s absolutely absurd. Wall’s contract has the Wizards in virtual handcuffs.

Washington had the ninth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and somewhat shockingly selected Rui Hachimura. It’s not like Hachimura is a bad player, but going off the boards at No. 9? Really, Washington? At least they got Admiral Schofield in the second round. He was an absolute steal at pick No. 42.

If the Wizards can somehow find a way to unload John Wall’s contract, they’ll be in a much more favorable position going forward.
