26. Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavs were quietly one of the most productive teams in the 2019 NBA Draft. They landed Darius Garland, Dylan Windler and Kevin Porter Jr. in the first round. All three of those guys could’ve gone higher in the draft than they did, so the Cavs took advantage of some luck that fell in their direction.

Garland will have to share the backcourt with Collin Sexton, which I don’t love, but I still have a lot of faith in Garland. I think he’s a future All-Star. He has a tight handle, he can shoot from anywhere and he’s brilliant in the pick-and-roll.

Windler is an elite shooter and has a ridiculously high basketball IQ. He can play on or off the ball, he can rebound and he knows his role.

Porter has incredible upside. If he finds a way to put together all of his skills, he could wind up being the biggest steal of the draft.

It’s also important to remember that the Cavs still have Kevin Love, who’s a legitimately good basketball player. If they trade him, they’ll probably get some good assets. If they keep him, they have a star veteran ready to help the young guys transition into the NBA.
