21. Chicago Bulls

And here we are!

The Chicago Bulls are an absolute mystery heading into the 2019-2020 season. They made some brilliant offseason moves in both the draft and free agency. Coby White and Daniel Gafford, the Bulls’ most recent draft picks, should both contribute in major ways right away. And the acquisitions of Tomas Satoransky and Thaddeus Young will help give the Bulls some quality veterans that have experience winning at a high level. But still, with all the youngsters and new players added to the roster, nothing is guaranteed.

White, Gafford, Satoransky and Young will help the Bulls, but the biggest reason for me putting Chicago this high is the expected growth of Wendell Carter Jr., Zach LaVine and Lauri Markkanen. Plus, Chicago will have Otto Porter Jr. for the entire season (hopefully).

If Carter, LaVine and Markkanen take their respective games to the next level, which I believe they will, then the Bulls will probably be a playoff team. If they struggle with injuries or development, though, then they’ll probably be hanging out with the worst teams in the league again.

Either way, I think the Bulls have enough talent on their roster to validate this ranking for the time being.
