22. Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks were one of the most fun League Pass teams in the 2018-19 season. Trae Young was brilliant in the second half of the season, John Collins is the real deal and Kevin Huerter is super exciting.

The Hawks are now adding two top-10 picks from the 2019 NBA Draft to that young core. De’Andre Hunter, selected with the fourth pick, is a three-and-D wing that projects as a quality role player. Cam Reddish, selected with the 10th pick, is a little more of a mystery. He has the skill set to be one of the best players in the league, but his motor is questionable. If he can put it all together, Reddish will be great for the Hawks. The worst-case scenario for Reddish is that he remains a spot-up shooter for his entire career, which really isn’t that bad. He just has the potential to be more.

A lot of people have high expectations for the Hawks next season. I think they’ll be good, but I’m not ready to give them a playoff spot just yet. I think they’re a year – maybe two – away.
