If the Chicago Bulls are interested in getting another sign-and-trade deal done this summer, then look no further than tying Jackson together with a former Windy City wing in Justin Holiday. Michael Scotto of The Athletic reported on Twitter earlier this month that the Bulls were interested in landing Holiday.
Holiday started out the 2018-19 regular season in a Bulls uniform. He was then traded to the Grizzlies for a good return that John Paxson and Gar Forman somehow managed to pull off in the middle of the regular season to land future draft assets and fellow former Kansas standout Wayne Selden.
The Bulls have so far elected to not bring Selden back. They didn’t give him an offer sheet, which then made him an unrestricted free agent. Yet, the Bulls would be able to bring back Holiday and still land Jackson to bolster the wing depth in this framework. This trade package also includes giving up Dunn with former Boise State Broncos small forward Chandler Hutchison.
Thus far in Summer League, Hutchison wasn’t really able to shake off the rust he generated from missing almost the entire back half of this past regular season due to injury. The Bulls could then bolster the wing depth by offloading Hutchison to bring in the still promising Jackson along with the steady defensive hand of Holiday.
