Who’s gone and who’s still available

Speculating about who else the Chicago Bulls should sign in free agency isn’t a good way for anyone to spend their time. Nearly all the big names are now signed down with various NBA teams. We’re left with a hodge podge of random NBA names that were either relevant during yesteryear or very underrated pieces.

There is one roster spot left for the Bulls with the way it stands currently. There are a few names that could be in the mix for that final roster spot if GarPax goes away from the players on the Summer League roster. Former Houston Rockets shooting guard Iman Shumpert and Memphis Grizzlies wing Justin Holiday.

Four players that were mainstays for the Bulls down the stretch last season that are now gone include Robin Lopez, Wayne Selden, Walt Lemon Jr., and Shaquille Harrison. Lemon Jr. continued to play for the Bulls Las Vegas Summer League team after he was waived from the roster, but Harrison was done after one game.

So far, the Bulls did a great job upgrading the roster and replacing departing talent with even more capable players in the modern NBA. Boylen has a much more talented and experienced rotation to keep growing this young core around. The rest of free agency won’t matter much for the Bulls, give-or-take one or two trades and/or signings.
