Although the Chicago Bulls elected to just keep point guard Ryan Arcidiacono around for this coming season, it is a move that I think fans should note due to his production off the bench last season. Arcidiacono showed last season that he is a more than capable third unit guard that can space the floor and provide a spark as a hustler.

Arcidiacono had a pretty remarkable assist rate last season at 18.9 percent. He also had one of the better assist/turnover ratios in the NBA among players coming off the bench. For a player that the Bulls got back for so cheap as a restricted free agent seems like one that the fans should celebrate.

What Arcidiacono needs to improve upon next season with the Bulls is his consistency in shooting the ball and his shot selection. He had little-to-no consistency in his shooting numbers by distance compared to his field goal percentage. There were spots that Arcidiacono heated up from at times and then went completely cold out of nowhere.

Overall, Arcidiacono did shot better than 37 percent from three-point range and better than 87 percent from the free-throw line. Getting him back for a three-year deal worth $9 million in total is a good move for the Bulls. GarPax decided to bring back Arcidiacono while also letting go of shooting guard Wayne Selden.
