2020 NBA Mock Draft: Post-free agency lottery picks
How will the lottery shake out for teams that will fall out of the playoff picture in the NBA next season? We take a look in this 2020 NBA Mock Draft.
The conclusion of the big part of this cycle of free agency in the NBA made for what should be major shake ups in both the order and the player selections in the 2020 NBA Draft. With that in mind, what will most pictures look like for projected lottery teams in a 2020 NBA Mock Draft?
Since the conclusion of the 2019 NBA Draft, the local media for the Chicago Bulls (and other teams around the NBA) and the national media put the spotlight on putting forward 2020 NBA Mock Draft “way-too-early” editions.
If the Bulls are left out of the playoff picture next year in the Eastern Conference, this front office could be facing yet another lottery pick. That also relies on how John Paxson and Gar Forman treat their draft pick situation on the trade market. If the Bulls are in fact in playoff contention, they might legitimately think up the idea to dish out the 2020 first round pick.
However, the early lottery orders for the 2020 NBA Draft are just mock-ups and nothing more. Figuring out who will fall where amid the teams that are projected to miss the playoffs next season is nothing more than a blind shot.
The draft order that I am using in this 2020 NBA Mock Draft comes courtesy of NBC Sports. That NBC Sports lottery order was used in their offseason edition of a “way-too-early” 2020 NBA Mock Draft.
But here’s a deeper dive into how the lottery picks will shake out for the Pippen Ain’t Easy early edition of the 2020 NBA Mock Draft.
