The Chicago Bulls are now 2-2 in the 2019 NBA Summer League. Here are player grades from their win over the Charlotte Hornets.

The Chicago Bulls were coming off of two disappointing losses before their game today against the Charlotte Hornets. Despite a rough start this afternoon, they turned it around at the end.

Shooting was a struggle for the Bulls early on in this one. They started 2-for-11 from the field and 1-for-7 from 3-point range. To no one’s surprise, Charlotte was on top for most of the game.

In the fourth quarter, though, the Bulls came alive and made a little run, thanks to some phenomenal play from their 2019 second-round pick, Daniel Gafford.

The Hornets had a chance to tie it up at the end of the game, but Miles Bridges’ 3-point heave at the buzzer was just off.

Here are player grades from the Bulls’ clutch win over the Hornets.

A. Daniel Gafford was the Bulls’ best player today. He crashed the glass, played hard and scored around the rim at an effective rate, finishing the game with a team-high 20 points to go along with 10 rebounds (six on the offensive end). There are still areas of his game he needs to improve, but he’s been a tremendously positive player for the Bulls so far this summer.. Center. Chicago Bulls. DANIEL GAFFORD

The Bulls showed some nice grit today. Summer League doesn’t really matter, so they easily could’ve mailed it in when they were down and taken the loss. This was a really good win for Chicago, though. Hopefully, they can keep this momentum going.
