It appears that John Paxson and Gar Forman still presume that the Chicago Bulls could have point guard Kris Dunn on the move this summer.

It seems like the last big splash that the Chicago Bulls could make this offseason involves sending out point guard Kris Dunn via the trade market. The point guard portion of the Bulls depth chart is starting to clog up. What will John Paxson and Gar Forman do with this situation?

The rumor mill regarding the trade possibilities for Dunn didn’t halt after the moratorium period ended for free agency. The Bulls were able to officially announce the signings of former Washington Wizards point guard Tomas Satoransky, New York Knicks center Luke Kornet, and Indiana Pacers forward Thad Young. Bringing back point guard Ryan Arcidiacono on a three-year deal worth $9 million didn’t help the case for Dunn to come back either.

If the Bulls wanted to bring Dunn back next season, the move would still make a lot of sense. He’s entering the final year of his rookie contract, so his price tag is still low. Considering this is a contract year for him, he should be motivated to show out to earn himself extra money for next summer.

Keeping Dunn around would be better for this Bulls team than dishing him out for anything less than at least a decent return. Taking on a player that is more detrimental to the Bulls future and cap sheet than Dunn is now isn’t a good move.

Here’s a look at what the four best trade destinations could be for the Chicago Bulls fourth-year point guard Kris Dunn if they let him go this summer.
