Wendell Carter Jr. = Barney Stinson
At first glance, Wendell Carter Jr. seems like a well-mannered guy on the court, but when he’s off the court, he’s known for his loud meets subtle sense of fashion.
Barney Stinson is legendary for wearing suits in every episode of “How I Met Your Mother.” It became a running joke when the sitcom aired on CBS. Whether it was a custom-tailored suit or a snowsuit, Stinson was always dressed to impress.
Personality-wise, Carter comes off as down to earth, which is a striking contrast to way people perceive Stinson. Stinson is viewed very fittingly as a lothario.
Still, fashion means just as much to Carter as it does Stinson.
Carter isn’t known as prolifically as Stinson for wearing suits, but he takes great pride in his fashion sense, nonetheless.
Take a look.
For the all differences that exist between Carter and Stinson, the two share something more powerful in common.
There’s a saying that there’s a story behind every person. In the case of Carter and Stinson, there’s a story behind every outfit.
So, what does Carter’s sense of fashion say about him?
I’ll let you be the judge.
Take a look.
All I know is that Carter is not shy when it comes to sporting Gucci as he did, here, for the 2018 NBA Draft.
As for Stinson, his sense of fashion had a way of changing who he is.
In “How I Met Your Mother”, Barney makes mention of the reason why he chooses to wear suits as he always does. He speaks of the moment the love of his life was stolen by a man wearing a suit and how he transformed into the smooth-talking, suit-wearing lothario that we all know.
Much like Stinson, Carter has been snubbed in the past. Carter was not recognized by the league among the top of rookies of the 2018 draft class.
If there’s one thing that Carter can learn from Stinson, it’s to not let your wardrobe change who you are.
