2. Adam Mokoka and Justin Simon have a lot of promise… and clear flaws
There is an open slot for this Chicago Bulls rotation to add one more wing or shooting guard, even potentially on a two-way deal, to fill this final roster spot and rotational need. Simon and Mokoka do bring a lot of potential to the table, but also both show a lot of flaws thus far during Summer League.
What we do know about both Simon and Mokoka is the fact that length and athleticism benefit both on the defensive end of the floor. That could play to the benefit of Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen, who couldn’t get much done on defense during the latter portion of the 2018-19 campaign.
Mokoka is now averaging just 8.5 points per game from his first two outings on 40 percent shooting from the field. But he also registered 1.5 steals per game and 5.0 rebounds. Meanwhile, Simon was also better on the defensive end of the floor than he was on offense, with 10 points and six boards.

Simon also had a beautiful chase down block in the first half against the Cavs. That along with Mulder’s breakaway slam dunk were the highlights of the loss to Cleveland from the Bulls side.
What was important about the chase down block for Simon was the fact that he’s starting to show a lot in transition defense and when he’s getting backed down within the three-point line. His defensive potential is huge.
