Coby White. 1. player. 24. . Point Guard. UNC

The moment we’ve all been waiting for with the Chicago Bulls is almost here. The much anticipated debut in a Bulls jersey for the former North Carolina Tar Heels five-star recruit and All-ACC point guard Coby White will come on July 5 against the Lakers in Summer League.

While a Summer League debut isn’t as hyped up as it is during the regular season, seeing White finally get in action alongside players like Gafford and Hutchison will be awesome. His ability to score in transition and hit step-back three-pointers against some young NBA-caliber defenders will be fun.

The role that White should fit the Bulls involves sparking the scoring on the offensive end of the floor and using his size to his benefit on defense to at least not become a liability. At 6-foot-5, White doesn’t have the most outstanding wingspan in the world. He’s also got a rather narrow frame.

The playing time that White gets in Summer League shouldn’t be overwhelming. Getting him ready for Training Camp and for the coming regular season is the important part of the Vegas Summer League circuit for him. He’s a key piece of this building future for the Bulls backcourt.
