On July 2, the Chicago Bulls released their Summer League roster for the Vegas circuit that will begin on July 5 against the Lakers.

The Summer League roster for the Chicago Bulls featured a smaller group of players than most other NBA teams assembled. Not to say that the Bulls should get as many players as a direction-less Washington Wizards signed, but there were more undrafted free agents worth taking a flier out on.

Summer League started in Salt Lake City, UT, on July 1. Having the NBA Draft, free agency, and Summer League going in such a short span of time makes the most out of the offseason. There’s even parts of the offseason that command more action and attention than the regular season in the NBA nowadays.

The first day of this free agent cycle could be the most crucial seven hours (at least on CT) in the past decade of the NBA. A press release on NBA.com showed the roster that the Bulls are rolling with for the MGM Resorts Summer League round in Las Vegas, NV. The first game for the Bulls in that Summer League transpires on July 5, against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Coming after the NBA Draft was the cycle where the best undrafted free agents for this class coming out of international leagues, college, and development leagues getting signed down. The Vegas edition of Summer League rounds out with the Cleveland Cavaliers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Charlotte Hornets.
