For the Chicago Bulls to make a trade happen with two or three teams with Andre Iguodala involved, there would be a lot of moving parts.
Making a trade work that could bring one more veteran piece to the locker room at a remaining position of need for the Chicago Bulls could be ideal. What the Bulls would have to do to land a veteran shooting guard/wing like the former Golden State Warriors sixth man Andre Iguodala could be difficult on the trade market, though.
Rumor has it that after the Warriors dealt Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies at the outset of free agency earlier this week that he is still being shopped around. The Grizzlies ate up his contract in order to stack future assets to try and build around the former Murray State Racers point guard and the No. 2 overall 2019 NBA Draft pick Ja Morant.
According to Stephen A. Smith on his ESPN radio show on July 1, he said the Los Angeles Lakers are working toward landing Iguodala this summer. Other interested suitors should mostly be in contention for an NBA Title with cap room to add a veteran shooting guard.
This is where the Bulls could differentiate themselves as an attractive landing spot for Iguodala that offers something different from the NBA contenders pursuing him. By landing Iguodala, the Bulls could piece together a roster worthy of playoff hype in the Eastern Conference for a good while.
Iguodala could help develop a rising star at shooting guard with Zach LaVine and a top 10 pick at point guard with Coby White.
Here’s a look at three different trade packages that the Chicago Bulls could put together to get the Memphis Grizzlies to trade Andre Iguodala this summer.
