Kris Dunn = Jed

I don’t know if I should apologize to Kris Dunn for comparing him to Jed, or if I should apologize to Jed for comparing him to Kris Dunn. Either way, sorry gentlemen.

Some stuff has recently come to light about Jed’s personal life, but for the sake of this comparison, we’ll stick to stuff we’ve seen on the show.

There’s nothing abhorrently wrong with how Jed has conducted himself on the show. Early on, he whisked Hannah away with his musical talent and kind words. Similarly, after the Jimmy Butler trade, Kris Dunn whisked Bulls fans away with hope and excitement. A 6’5″ potential franchise point guard? What’s not to love?

Two seasons later, and it’s starting to look like Kris has played his last game as a Bull. I’m not sure Jed is ready to go home yet, but I can’t see him ultimately ending up with Hannah – the same way it’s becoming clear that Dunn won’t stay with the Bulls for the long haul.

Also, on Jed and Hannah’s one-on-one date, they played hoops with Terry Rozier and Jaylen Brown. In an interview, Jed later called them “two of the best guys in the league.”

Excuse me? Two of the best players in the league? Terry Rozier wasn’t even one of the best players on his team.

That showed Jed’s lack of basketball IQ, and after watching Kris Dunn for two years, I’m not sure his basketball IQ is much higher.
