Point Guard

Starter: Tomas Satoransky

There’s a lot of options for the Chicago Bulls to work with in the starting five. If the Bulls want to go ahead and throw White into the starting five, that could work. But it seems like a better move to put White in more situational settings as a sixth or seventh man off the bench. When the game favors faster transition scoring, White needs to be on the floor.

To start the 2019-20 regular season, the starter at point guard should be the recently acquired former Washington Wizards sharpshooter Tomas Satoransky. Per 100 possessions, Satoransky averaged 15.5 points, 8.7 assists, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.8 steals. He posted an offensive rating of 121 in the process.

Satoransky is a more reliable option for the Bulls at point guard. Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen can thrive with him on the floor to make use of all the other young weapons in this rotation. Although he only started in 54 games last season, landing Satoransky in a sign-and-trade deal from the Wizards could be brilliant.

Keeping Satorasnky in the starting five while bringing in White as a change of pace could be lethal for this Bulls offense. Satoransky is also a solid defensive guard, who posted a defensive rating last season at 116. This could be the solution the Bulls were looking for as a floor general on both ends of the court.
