Chicago Bulls: Ideal post-NBA Draft/free agency rotation
It looks as if the Chicago Bulls core rotation is shaping up just two or three days into this cycle of free agency and with the NBA Draft in the past.
The start to the offseason was actually hard to complain about for fans of the Chicago Bulls. Since the Bulls got a good start to the offseason through the 2019 NBA Draft, there were less positional needs to add for this front office in free agency.
In the 2019 NBA Draft, the Bulls landed the former North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Coby White in the first round and former Arkansas Razorbacks center Daniel Gafford in the second. White was picked seventh overall and Gafford was a gem find 38th overall.
The dumbfounding idea that the Bulls fan base has little to complain about with the personnel moves for John Paxson and Gar Forman thus far during the offseason is a new feeling. GarPax is usually the butt of the #FireGarPax trends on social media, but they look to be taking steps in the right direction entering year three of this rebuild.
Since blowing it all up after the Bulls traded star small forward Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves ahead of the 2017 NBA Draft, the rebuild went slow. The moves that GarPax made last month, and on July 1, both helped make major strides toward getting back in playoff contention.
How much longer this Bulls team has to go to get back into playoff, and hopefully title contention, will both be up to the draft lottery next year and the play on the court this coming season.
Here’s a deeper peer into what the rotation should look like for the Chicago Bulls this coming season with the current pieces on the roster after two full days of this free agent cycle and the NBA Draft.
