This is definitely a reach by now, but if the Chicago Bulls could manage to free up the cap space to add the former Portland Trail Blazers guard Seth Curry, then it could be worth it. Seth had a good playoff run with the Trail Blazers, before losing to his brother and the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals last season.

Really the only way to foresee the Bulls landing Curry by now is if he falls through the cracks or if GarPax frees up other cap room by dishing out a player like Kris Dunn or manages to offload Cristiano Felicio or if they waive and stretch his deal. Granted Felicio just seems like an anchor to this cap sheet now.

Curry isn’t the most versatile player in the world, but he does bring floor spacing for Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen. Accomplishing the goal of finally spacing the floor more, and shooting more and better from beyond the arc could happen with Curry in the fold.

NBA fans should anticipate Curry to sign a deal for around $8-$10 million at the very least. If he’s looking closer to the minimum than that in some weird alternate reality, then the Bulls should monitor his status. Curry hasn’t signed any deal thus far, and doesn’t appear to be too close to making that happen. The Bulls should at least keep an eye on him.
