What the Chicago Bulls added thus far

I had to add this slide into this piece since the Chicago Bulls continued to make moves throughout the morning of July 1. Yes, June 30 was crazy around the NBA. The first big move of the second day of free agency this summer actually started off with the Bulls making what appears to be a good move.

A reported sign-and-trade deal with the Washington Wizards for third-year point guard Tomas Satoransky did upgrade the Bulls backcourt. What the Bulls sent to the Wizards in return is a 2020 second round pick another future second round pick that should extend to 2021 or beyond.

Since the Bulls haven’t let go of any other pieces yet, the cap situation is going to start to get thin. Satoransky is a very nice addition for the Bulls, but he definitely won’t come at a cheap price. It looks as if Satoransky will be added to the Bulls roster starting this coming season for a deal similar to that of Young, for at least three years.

Young and Satoransky are two very solid additions to the roster that can almost exactly fill the positional needs that Gar Forman and John Paxson had entering the offseason. So far, the moves GarPax made look good and could upgrade the roster for a good while. Might be hard to believe for Bulls fans, but this free agency stint was rather successful in less than the first 24 hours of this cycle.
