A big name that could be on the move in free agency this summer is a former Chicago Bulls star, small forward Jimmy Butler.
What would a world for the Chicago Bulls be like in which Jimmy Butler is still this team’s star player and starting small forward? John Paxson and Gar Forman dished Butler out back ahead of the 2017 NBA Draft to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a return of shooting guard Zach LaVine, point guard Kris Dunn, and a draft pick.
Less than a year-and-a-half after he was dealt from the Bulls to the Timberwolves, Butler was on the move again to join a playoff contender in the Eastern Conference with the Philadelphia 76ers. He’s also been stuck in the rumor mill with the Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets, and Los Angeles Clippers. This is all what can happen for a player that is a star, but isn’t the premier name among all the top free agents.
