As a true NBA journeyman over the course of the past three seasons, former Boston Celtics star point guard Isaiah Thomas is set to hit the free agent market again. Through that journey, Thomas landed with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Los Angeles Lakers, and most recently the Denver Nuggets.
Thomas was already a member of six different NBA teams and he’s only 30-years-old. For a point guard that is a former All-NBA honoree and two-time All-Star (also was All-NBA Rookie Team way back in the day), that is a crazy number of teams to swing around with. A lot of the switches lately for Thomas were due to injury troubles.
He only played in 44 games in the past two seasons, and that came with three different teams. The Nuggets only got Thomas on the floor for 12 games last season. Some of those looks for Thomas were at shooting guard too, which is a very interesting fit considering his skill set as a floor general and his size.
The 5-foot-9 former star Thomas could still find his way in the NBA if he stays healthy and finds the right landing spot. A fighter and motivated guard like Thomas that constantly works hard is a good personality fit in theory in the Windy City with the Bulls. He would also come at a low cost too.
