2. New Orleans Pelicans

Man, who would’ve thought a few months ago that the Pelicans would be no. 2 on this list? I guess that’s what winning the lottery and trading away one of the best players in the NBA can do for your franchise.

The only reason the Pelicans aren’t no. 1 on this list is that they’re unproven. Their team is basically Jrue Holiday and a ton of young guys with sky-high ceilings.

Zion Williamson is the most exciting youngster we’ve seen since LeBron James, and he’ll take the court next season with other up-and-comers like Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, Brandon Ingram, Jaxson Hayes and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Zion’s almost a sure bet to be incredible. That’s not a secret. But the other guys all have question marks surrounding their respective games.

If Ball, Hart, Ingram, Hayes and Alexander-Walker all reach their ceilings, a dynasty will be forming in NOLA.

The future has never been brighter for New Orleans basketball.
