4. CJ Watson
Team: Killer 3’s
The former Chicago Bulls bench sharpshooting guard CJ Watson also is just playing in his first action in the BIG3 this weekend. He did play a bigger role in the success for the Killer 3’s in the team’s opening weekend victory in Detroit by just a two point margin.
Watson is an ideal fit for a 3-on-3 basketball style of play in a league that has two, three, and four-point lines. His shooting ability and quick handles should allow him to thrive in the BIG3. This former long-time member of the Bulls should be a fun fit in the BIG3. The only team that Watson spent more time with during his NBA career than the Bulls was the Golden State Warriors.
3. Drew Gooden
Team: 3’s Company
There’s a large margin between where the 14-season NBA veteran forward Drew Gooden and Watson are ranked on this list among the former Chicago Bulls in the BIG3. But Gooden is part of a group of four former Bulls in this league that actually played before the 2019 season began.
It was nice to see a recently retired NBA-veteran that was a part of a team in the BIG3 that made a run to the championship game last year, just to fall short against Power when it was all said and done. Gooden did shoot better than 42 percent from three-point range last year with 3’s Company, which was a huge key to success for that team.
