With all the trades happening around the Chicago Bulls in the NBA Draft on June 20, is Darius Garland or Coby White a better selection?

If the Chicago Bulls elect to Draft with positional need in mind on June 20, then North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Coby White and the Vanderbilt Commodores potential combo guard Darius Garland at seven. Gar Forman and John Paxson are giving little clarity as to where this team is looking outside of who they decided to bring into town during the pre-draft workout process.

Those two prospects that could fall in the lottery that the Bulls worked out include Texas Longhorns center Jaxson Hayes and French Limoges forward Sekou Doumbouya.

However, Garland started to garner a lot of pre-draft hype himself during the workout process. He even worked out recently for the New York Knicks, who hold the No. 3 overall pick and are expected to take Duke’s wing R.J. Barrett. He did have a host of impressive workout showings just within the past two weeks.

In terms of the odds that the Bulls do get the chance to take either Garland or White at seven in this draft, it is all dependent on how the New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers, and and Phoenix Suns plan out their big board. The Knicks, Pelicans at one, and Memphis Grizzlies seem to already have a draft order down in the top three.

That all rang true until the Pelicans traded their No. 4 pick to the Atlanta Hawks for a host of other draft picks that caused a stir before the first pick came around. The Hawks look to now be choosing Virginia’s De’Andre Hunter with the fourth pick that was formerly held by the Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers.

Yet, here’s a deeper look into the case for the Chicago Bulls between the two point guards that could be available for them in the 2019 NBA Draft between Coby White and Darius Garland.
