2. Ja Morant, G, Murray State

Ja Morant sprang onto the scene in 2019-2020 as the top point guard in college basketball. His combination of scoring, passing ability, and explosiveness have drawn comparisons to OKC’s Russell Westbrook.

Red flags for Morant include his lack of three point range and the fact that he played at a mid-major program rather than a power-five school. However, Morant’s offensive skills make him a near lock to go second overall.

Current NBA comparison: Russell Westbrook

3. R.J. Barrett, F/G, Duke

Overshadowed by Williamson’s fantastic season, many have forgotten that Duke’s R.J. Barrett was the top high school player in the class of 2019 and the Blue Devils’ leading scorer in 2019-2020.

A James Harden-type player, his offensive game does not have many holes at all. His defense is his biggest issue and his three point shot is still coming along, but Barrett is far and away the top pure scorer in this draft.

Current NBA comparison: James Harden

4. Jarrett Culver, G, Texas Tech

Like Ja Morant, Jarrett Culver stayed in college for a second season and was expected by almost no one to become a top NBA prospect. Culver’s ability to do a bit of everything on the floor is enticing to NBA teams, as he can mold into almost any role. NBA scouts are optimistic that his shooting can improve at the next level, but for now he remains subpar from range.

Current NBA comparison: Evan Turner
